Give a little bit...

Be the best you can be, always smile and find the light in the darkness. It is there! I have made it a goal of my own to find the positive in my crazy days. So, please know the importance of this. I was speaking to a student today who was very sad. He was feeling down, he said he was dumb and I wanted to explain that we all learn something new ever day. He will not understand that lesson so I just let him talk. Sometimes, in a crazy situation the positive is to be there for someone and take something away from the experience. I wish the best to you. Give a little bit of the joy you find to others, remind them to look for the light!

Take your time...

Sometimes we disagree with others at work, as we all know this most likely happens on a daily basis. We can not always agree, we are different people with different lives, beliefs, personalities, and so on. The question is, how do you keep the peace when you are having a hard time with what is happening? I believe that question goes back to how you handle it. I have learned that sometimes it is best to listen for understanding. Do not listen and respond right away, and do not listen to respond. Take it in and think it over. Just like a consequence that may be posed, take the time to let it settle. Sometimes our split reactions create more problems than what they are worth.

In my profession, we are able to use our best judgement, ethical decisions are always best but also timely decisions. Do not ever make a rash decision, know that even a decision that takes time, if handled properly, is the best decisions.

Also, it might benefit everyone in my profession to have somewhere to go to get things off your chest, such as a counselor or friend. Just remember ethics, there are many things that can be said to get things off your chest, but there are also many things you cannot say, be careful. Make decisions just a little bit slower than you would normally, see if slowing down does not help you find peace of mind at work, or even at home.

Where do I stand??

I have peace in my life and that peace is present at home, at work, and in the community because of the lord. I have peace at my job, though I do not always agree with the way things are, but I ask for patience and peace and I find it. I have learned to find the positive in every situation. I still get down, I am human. I still get stressed and makes mistakes, but when I look for guidance I have faith and am able to see what I need to do.

I wish you joy at your job, if there is not some type of joy, may I suggest finding your faith, no matter what it is or where it leads, because mine has saved me. I am not one to push my beliefs on others so I wish for you to find what you need to smile even in the face of adversity.

I guess I need to take this post a step further...If you don't know where I stand, now is time to tell you. I stand with the lord. He is my savior and I have faith in his word. I believe in him like I believe the sun will come out tomorrow. My entire life I was able to see the sun rise and set, so I believed it would. I believe that the lord will be there for me because I have seen that, too.

I will never forget what he gave for humankind, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16.
